Avela Travel ("Avela," "we," "us," or "our") is a travel service based in Nosara, Costa Rica. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit avelatravel.com or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website or sharing information with us, you agree to the practices described here.

We only collect what we need to plan your trip and reply to you.

• Information you give us directly. When you fill out our contact form, send us an email, message us on WhatsApp, or subscribe to our newsletter, you may share your name, email address, phone number, travel dates, group size, budget range, preferred villas or experiences, and any notes you choose to include.
• Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we log basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and pages visited. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-friendly and does not place tracking cookies or fingerprint visitors.

2. How we use your information

• Respond to your inquiry and prepare a personalized travel proposal.
• Coordinate bookings with the villas, chefs, guides, and partners involved in your trip.
• Send you trip-related communications during planning and while you are with us in Nosara.
• With your consent, send occasional updates about new villas, seasonal availability, and Nosara travel ideas. You can unsubscribe from these at any time using the link in each email.
• Improve our website, content, and services.
• Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3. Who we share information with

To plan and deliver your trip, we share only the details necessary with trusted partners. These may include:

• Villa owners and property managers in Nosara.
• Private chefs, surf instructors, tour operators, drivers, and wellness providers we coordinate on your behalf.
• Service providers who help us operate the website and communicate with you, such as Formspree (contact form delivery), our email and newsletter platform, hosting providers, and Cloudflare (web infrastructure and analytics).
• Authorities or other parties when required by law.

4. International transfers

Avela operates from Costa Rica. Some of the service providers we use process data in the United States, the European Union, or other jurisdictions. By contacting us or using our site, you understand your information may be processed outside your country of residence.

5. How long we keep your information

We keep inquiry and trip-planning records for as long as needed to provide our service, plus a reasonable period after to handle follow-up bookings, accounting, and legal obligations. Newsletter subscriber data is kept until you unsubscribe.
